Cubs top Troy Hill, 8-2 - The Cubs got revenge on the Troy Hill squad that defeated them one month ago by getting production throughout the lineup. Nick DelNano took home the game ball for stealing home, smacking a triple, and a few innings of solid work on the mound as reliever for the standup Cam Kozak. Mark Lodge also broke out of his hitting slump by reaching base.

May 31
Cubs top Urban Impact, 18-4 - Kyle Watts and Jerome Morris made their pitching debuts in this contest. The Cubs' offense was powered by Brendan Blair (grand slam), Nick Delnano, Jacob Dewalt, Austin Biondo, Ian Cherkes, and Morris. Defensive gems were turned in by Morris and Mike Giardina.

May 28
Cubs edge Brightwood 4-3 in extra innings - Brendan Blair blasted a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to lift the Cubs over Brightwood at dusk, the first time a BHAA senior team has defeated Brightwood in the history of North Pittsburgh Baseball Association. Cubs' hurlers Blair and Thorin Knupsky piled up 19 strikeouts, while Ian Cherkes, Austin Biondo, and Cam Kozak turned in defensive gems.

May 23
Cubs edged by Brightwood, 2-0 - Brendan Blair stood tall on the Cubs' mound at Young Field, delivering 13 strikeouts in five innings of work. Slippery baserunning by Brightwood and three runners stranded by the Cubs were the difference in this contest. With a booming blast to centerfield, Jacob Dewalt earned the game ball for a would-be double negated by a questionable call at second. A rematch is set for Wednesday, May 28, on the Cubs' home turf.

May 14
Cubs Prevail in Wet Contest with Urban Impact - The Cubs made worthwhile use of Pete Schell's tireless efforts to keep Field 6 playable by coming from behind in the fourth inning to top the visiting Urban Impact 6-4. Cubs pitchers struggled to maintain control of each wet game ball (about five were used in this muddy war) and got into walk trouble early. But a burst of offense followed, including a three-run homer by Brendan Blair, a triple by Thorin Knupsky, and a double by Ian Cherkes. Cherkes also turned in a fine defensive game with a handful of web gems at short.
